Expert!

Its all trail and error. always. That's how you become an expert. And an expert is my goal!

My sister had a Lady's breakfast last Saturday, so I thought this would be the perfect time to test some recipe's. I decided to make cupcakes.Lemon cupcakes and lime cupcakes. I am not going to lie and say that they all turned out perfect and that I was Delia smith in a few 20 minute baking sessions. BUT the 12 or so that did, were tasty. I had good feed back, and the favourite- was the lime.mmm. But from my mistakes I learned some timeless pointers, invest in good flour, don't let too much air in and flour last. The results....

Swap shop

Today was the first installment of Wednesday swap shop! This is basically the day when we swap creations with each other, then criticize the fanciful delights that we have just devoured.

I made cheesecake , lime with a ginger base. But, I collected a delightful lemon cupcake ;-)

The sponge was nice & moist and the topping of yellow icing with edible glitter was a great finish. The package was very cool as well and could be a 'just maybe' with our official launch.

Follow that yellow brick road....
